The Ford Motor Company has been making many moves over the past year or so in order to reestablish the organization as one of the leading car manufacturers in the world. One of Ford’s biggest changes is the complete redesign of the Ford Taurus. The new 2010 Ford Taurus SHO is simply breathtaking. When I first saw it I was floored. Ford has been showcasing the Taurus all across the country and it’s definitely a newsworthy vehicle. I never imagined that the Taurus could make such a successful comeback, but with this model, I think anything is possible.

The 2010 Ford Taurus SHO is a high performance version of Ford’s original flagship sedan. SHO stands for Super High Output and with a 3.5-liter V6 engine it can pack a serious punch on the highway. The new Taurus SHO gets about 25 MPG on the highway, which is great for a car with this much power. If you’ve been considering switching back to an American car company, the 2010 Ford Tauras SHO may just be the car you’ve been waiting for. Definitely go online and schedule a test drive today.

Ford Unveils a New Super Duty Truck at Texas Fair

When one of the world’s biggest automakers wants to unveil a truck that is bigger and better than its previous models, why would they choose anywhere else besides Texas? That’s exactly what the Ford Motor Company thought when officials introduced the 2011 Super Duty pickup truck at the Texas State Fair in Dallas this month.

Although Ford has not released or discussed any horsepower or torque specifications for the new truck, officials claim it will have “significantly” more power than any of the current models with the Power Stroke engine. That means the 2011 model will have at least 350 horsepower and have at least 650 lb.-ft. of torque. Some are speculating that the new truck will have about 390 horsepower with 720 lb-ft of torque, but those numbers cannot be confirmed by Ford as of yet. Either way, we can expect something powerful for those tough jobs.

“Our customers do some of America’s toughest jobs,” said Mark Fields, the Ford President. “The new 2011 Super Duty offers them a truck with best-in-class towing and payload, all-new powertrains and even more capability than ever to help them do their jobs.”

Dealers should be getting the 2011 Super Duty pickup trucks early next spring. You may be able to call your Omaha area Ford dealer today and schedule a test drive for when the new trucks arrive.

New Taurus Makes Debut in Kansas City

In a month of unveilings and debuts for the Ford Motor Company, the popular Taurus gets an unveiling in Kansas City, Missouri. The unveiling is just one part of Ford’s nationwide effort to boost sales.

In addition to Kansas City, the Ford Motor Company is going to 100 cities across the United States to unveil the new Taurus, which has undergone some major redesigns to make it even more stylish and powerful than it was in its previous generation. The Taurus is already one of the automaker’s most popular sellers, but new technology and upgrades should prove to increase its sales even more!

2010 Taurus

According to a spokesperson for Ford, the new Taurus is “more user-friendly” than previous generations. It is also more efficient for these times when everybody is trying to save fuel and the environment.

Many customers have turned their attention to Ford because the automaker did not take any of the bailout funds from the federal government like other companies did earlier this year. “We got people writing letters to us telling us that they really appreciate that Ford doesn’t take government money in that regard,” said one Ford official.

The 2010 Ford Taurus has a base price of about $30,000. Call your Omaha area Ford dealer today to schedule a test drive as soon as it becomes available in your area!

Ford Focus is Better than Ever

The Ford Focus has been on the market for nearly a decade now. Originally designed to appeal to a driver who wanted an edgy style and an even edgier driving experience, this car has been a huge success.

In 2008, the Ford Focus was completely redesigned. Ford wanted to keep the Focus competetive, and made some significant changes to the design. While the 2008 and 2009 Ford Focus is similar in many ways under the hood to previous models, Ford did add some horsepower, revised the suspension and, most of all, updated the interior.

And it is that interior change that really makes the 2008 and 2009 Ford Focus shine. The SES trim version of the Focus adds metallic-looking surfaces to the dash. The gauges have white faces and chrome rings, along with blue gauge lighting. The most significant part of the interior, however, is the Sync system developed in partnership with Microsoft. The Sync system interacts with your Bluetooth phone, offers voice command for your digital music player, and does many other multimedia-related tasks.

The Ford Focus is better today than ever, and that’s saying quite a bit. If you want to see the new Ford Focus in action, come and see your Omaha Ford dealer today.

Choosing A New Ford Vehicle

If you’re in the market for a new Ford vehicle, deciding on exactly the right one can be stressful. YOu want to make sure you have enough car to meet your needs, but you don’t want to buy more car than you can afford. In some cases, you might not even know where to start thinking about what kind of car you want to get.

The best thing to do is to start by considering your needs. Think about the things you’re going to use the vehicle for. Don’t worry, at least initially, about an eye-catching style or the latest gadgets and accessories. Instead, make sure you identify a model that can do what you need it to do.

Here are some important questions to ask when you’re looking for a new car:

  • How many people will be usually riding in the vehicle?
  • What sort of driving do you most often do? Is it city driving or highway driving?
  • How long is your drive to work?
  • How important is gas mileage to you?
  • Do you want an automatic transmission or a manual transmission?
  • Do you need all-wheel drive?
  • What safety features are important to you?
  • Do you need storage space or the ability to carry cargo?
  • Do you need to be able to tow anything with the vehicle?
  • Will the vehicle fit into your garage?

By answering these questions, you’ll be able to narrow down what type of vehicle is the right one for you. If you need help finding the right car for your needs and wants, come see us at your Omaha Ford dealer today.

Ford Focus Owners Club

Many cars, like the Ford Focus, engender a certain sense of community. Owners of the Toyota Prius, for example, often honk or wave when they see another Prius going down the street. It’s as if they’re saying, “Hey. We both care about the impact we have on the environment.” Owners of Harley Davidson Motorcycles get together in groups, and spend their long summer nights exploring the highways and the byways together.

The Ford Focus is a lot like that. Ford Focus owners are committed to safety, quality, and an economical ride. The Ford Focus community is continually growing in popularity, as well, with groups like the Ford Focus Owner’s Club and others forming around this great little vehicle.

Ford Focus owners like their cars, so much so that they can’t wait to get a new one. Just days after announcing the 2009 Ford Focus RS, for example, more than 1,000 people have signed up to get their 2009 Ford Focus. It has done this without releasing any information at all about top speed, zero to 60 time, and other performance figures. The pricing structure hasn’t even been released, and people are waiting in line.

The 2009 Ford Focus RS has a turbocharged version of the 2.5 liter 5-cylinder Duratec engine. The engine produces 296 horsepower, and can produce up to 221 lb-ft of torque. It comes in Electric Green Shade, Electric Blue, Frozen White, and other colors.

The Ford Focus is better today than ever, and that’s saying quite a bit. If you want to see the new Ford Focus in action, come and see your Omaha Ford dealer today.

Taking Your Ford Truck Off Road

While not everyone who owns a Ford Truck is going to take it off road, the fact is that the ability to go just about anywhere is one of the best features of having a Ford truck. Whether you want to drive through town or through the woods, there is no better vehicle to be in than a Ford truck. Still, there are some important things to keep in mind when you do go off road.

First, keep it within your driving ability. Pick a smooth path on the trail so that you can react to changing terrain. Don’t drive too fast, as you can cause all sorts of damage to your vehicle.

You should also keep your eyes on the path. Watch for what’s coming up next. If it’s possible, try to survey the path before you even go down it. You need to be aware if there’s a dead end or a cliff.

Make sure to cross obstacles just one wheel at a time. This helps with climbing.

You should also drive straight when you’re on a hill or steep terrain. Driving straight will lessen the risks that you’ll have a rollover.

Drive a Ford, Help Your School

Ford is one of those companies that is just known for giving back. One of the most interesting ways that Ford has been giving back is through the “Drive One 4 UR School” program. This program, which started in late 2007, is a unique way to introduce new Ford products to consumers. Not only does this program raise brand awareness, but it also supports community schools.

Participants in the program can test drive a new ford vehicle in order to help raise funds for their school. For every test drive taken at these one day “Drive One 4 UR School” events, Ford donates $20 to projects or activities at the school, up to a maximum of $6,000. In addition, the high schools that participated in this program last fall competed with each other to see what school could generate the most sales.

There were more than 150 “Drive One 4 UR School” events in 2008. These events took place at high schools. In 2009, it is thought that the program will be expanded to include junior high as well as elementary schools.

If you don’t wan to wait for a “Drive One 4 UR School” event to test drive a Ford, come see your local Ford dealer today.
